Assemblymen to Present Senior Scam Safety Seminar

The free event will give seniors tips on how to avoid fraud.

Seniors will have a chance to learn about ways to avoid fraud during a free seminar Nov. 3 in Yucaipa.

The event, sponsored by Assemblymen Paul Cook (R-Yucca Valley) and Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga), will feature speakers from the Contractors State License Board, Bureau of Automotive Repair, Public Utilities Commission, Department of Insurance, Department of Real Estate and local law enforcement, according to a news release.

Seminar participants will have the chance to ask questions and get information that can help them avoid fraud.

The event will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Scherer Senior Center, 12202 First St., in Yucaipa.
