Caltrans Road Work Sked on Lugonia Ave and Mentone Boulevard Next Week

The work is scheduled 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Redlands, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Mentone, according to Caltrans.

Caltrans is planning road work that will require lane closures on Lugonia Avenue in Redlands and Mentone Boulevard in Mentone next week, according to a city spokesman.

All the work is within Caltrans right-of-way on State Route 38, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

The work involves "slurry seals" on the 38 in Redlands and Mentone, Caltrans District 8 spokeswoman Shelli Lombardo said.

The work is scheduled 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Redlands, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Mentone, Lombardo said.

Caltrans released the following schedule:

- On Monday July 16, Caltrans will close westbound lanes from Dearborn to Church, with a detour available on San Bernardino Avenue.

- On Tuesday July 17, Caltrans will close eastbound lanes from Church to Dearborn, with a detour on San Bernardino Avenue.

- On Wednesday July 18, "we will be flagging" westbound traffic from Amethyst to Crafton, Lombardo said.

- On Thursday July 19, "we will be flagging" eastbound traffic from Crafton to Amethyst, Lombardo said.

"It is important to note that all vehicles must not be parked on the street between these times or they will be towed," Lombardo said. "Temporary 'No Parking' signs are in place at these locations with posted dates and times."
