City of Redlands Offers Free Workshop: Basics of Setting Up a Business Plan

The City of Redlands plans to offer a free workshop detailing the basics of setting up a business plan on Wednesday June 27.

The event is the latest in a series of Small Business Workshops sponsored by Inland Empire SCORE, city spokesman Carl Baker said in an announcement.

The workshop series is co-sponsored by SCORE Inland Empire and the U.S. Small Business Administration, Baker said. It is designed to help entrepreneurs in areas such as starting a small business, marketing and financing.

"Presenter Gail Youngblood will offer advice on setting up a business plan, including such essentials as establishing business goals, understanding your financial considerations, analyzing your market, strategizing your advertising and developing financial reports," Baker said.

Youngblood's background includes internal auditing, loss prevention, analysis, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable and troubleshooting for sales auditing, Baker said. She has 17 years experience in counseling and workshop facilitation, retail, government, IRS, food and beverage management and inventory.

The workshop is scheduled 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 27 in City Council Chambers, 35 Cajon St. Admission is free but registration is required at inlandempire.score.org/localworkshops, Baker said.
