Redlands 'Coffee with the Council' Scheduled Aug. 18 at Kiddough's Bakery

Council members rotate attendance, with two members at each meeting.

Mayor Pete Aguilar suggested the meetings as a way for residents to ask questions and share concerns outside the formal setting of city council meetings, Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said.

"We hear from the citizens directly," Councilman Bob Gardner said after the June 'Coffee with the Council.' "We're not having it from somebody else. This is direct. We have an exchange. . . . They ask questions and we respond and there's time for followup questions."
