ELECTIONS: Derry Concedes at Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone

Third District incumbent Neil Derry and Redlands City Council candidate Lane Schneider were among the people watching early returns at the Mentone establishment.

Update 8:41 p.m. Third District incumbent Neil Derry has conceded that based on early results it appears James Ramos will take his seat on the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.

"It looks like James is going to win, and I wish him well," Derry said just after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 6 at Mill Creek Cattle Company. "But it's not clear he's going to be able to take office."

Derry and Ramos fought a contentious campaign before voters decided who will represent a vast area that includes Redlands and Loma Linda.
