Memorial Service Friday for Colton Mayor
David Zamora died when he apparently suffered a heart attack and crashed while driving.
There will be a memorial service for Colton Mayor David Zamora on Friday, the city of Colton said in a news release Monday.
The late mayor had been driving to City Hall on Thursday when he apparently had a heart attack, lost control of his truck and crashed. He died about 2 p.m. Thursday at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. at Colton First Assembly of God Church, 450 W. Citrus St., at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Citrus Street. A reception will follow in the church's Fellowship Hall

To honor Mr. Zamora's support of higher education, the Zamora family has requested that in lieu of flowers, any gifts in his memory be made to Cal State San Bernardino in support of student scholarships.
Gifts may be sent indicating "In Memory of David Zamora" to the university's Philanthropic Foundation, 5500 University Parkway, San Bernardino, CA 92407.
