Occupy Redlands Holds Book Drive and Prepares to March

The group will have a booth at tonight's Redlands Market Night, where they will be collecting the books and handing out information.

Occupy Redlands is holding a book drive starting tonight.

The group will have a booth at tonight's Redlands Market Night, where they will be collecting the books. Donors are asked to donate a new book for children or young adults.

Books will also be collected on Saturday during a Solidarity March with Occupy Wall Street.

Occupy Redlands members will assemble at noon at Ed Hales Park, near the corner of State and Seventh Street. Everyone is welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring signs.

A General Assembly follows the protest at 1 p.m. in Ed Hales Park.

Occupy Redlands encourages residents to shop locally and support the city's small businesses by purchasing their book donation at small businesses, including the Frugal Frigate at 9 North Sixth Street in Redlands.
