Redlands Mayor, Congressional Candidate Announces Support

Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar's campaign announced three San Bernardino County firefighters associations have endorsed him in his run for congress.

Officials with congressional candidate and Redlands Mayor Pete Aguilar’s campaign announced that he has received the endorsement of three San Bernardino County firefighters associations.

They are:

  • San Bernardino County Professional Firefighters Association (Local 935)
  • Rancho Cucamonga Professional Firefighters Association (Local 2274)
  • Redlands Professional Firefighters Association (Local 1354)

In a letter announcing his organization’s endorsement, Mike McCliman, President of the Rancho Cucamonga Firefighters Association wrote: “As the youngest mayor in the history of the City of Redlands, Pete Aguilar turned a budget deficit into a surplus. It is that tenacity and vision, coupled with the ability to bring people to the discussion table that makes him not simply a ‘good choice’ for Congress, but the ‘right choice’.”

“I am honored to have the backing of the brave men and women who risk their lives to keep our communities safe,” said Aguilar. “As a member of Congress, I’ll make sure our public safety employees have the support they need to continue to do their jobs well.”

Aguilar is a Democratic candidate for California 31st Congressional District.
