SB District Seat Candidates Agree to Meet the Public

The five candidates in the running for San Bernardino County's third district seat are scheduled to participate in a forum hosted by the Redlands Tea Party Patriots.

The Redlands Tea Party Patriots will host a forum for San Bernardino County Supervisor Third District candidates on March 1.

This is the first forum of the year for the local Tea Party. Five men are currently in the race for the seat, district three Supervisor Neil Derry, San Bernardino Community College Board of Trustee James Ramos, former mayor of Twentynine Palms James R. Bagley, Kenneth T. Hunter of Redlands and Robert Wilson of Colton.

All confirmed they will participate, Tea Party organizers said.

The forum is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. at Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone.

“We’ll have scripted questions moderated by Redlands Tea Party Patriot cabinet member, Phillip Naman, with additional questions to be taken from the floor,” said Tea Party Patriot member Annie Rumary. “We’ll also be discussing 2010’s Proposition 14 - the open primary - what that means and why it matters.”

The forum is an effort by the Tea Party to get the candidates “in front of our membership so everyone can make an informed decision."
