The deer in this photo had the right idea. It appeared that they were having a morning snack. We noticed them in this apple orchard recently in Oak Glen, California. It is Apple Season in this community. Very soon people will be flocking to pick apples, sample apple pie, apple cider, caramel and other varieties of candy coated apples.
Having worked at Law's Oak Glen Coffee Shop for one season it was common to have busloads of visitor's during the week. Between Labor Day and Thanksgiving weekend, business's stay very busy as tourists enjoy the atmosphere of country living and viewing the seasonal changes. It is very family oriented and offers children the ability to experience outdoor activities geared for educating them about nature and history.
Another feature of the area, is the Oak Glen School House Museum that stands as a reminder of days gone by. It also provides a picturesque place to picnic and take in the beauty of Oak Glen. All business's in Oak Glen contribute in their own way to make you want to go back for another visit.
