4.1M Yorba Linda Quake Felt to the East

The temblor struck at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 29, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

An earthquake measured at 4.1 magnitude struck at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday two miles northeast of Yorba Linda and it was felt by some people further east in Loma Linda and Redlands.

It was the first significant temblor felt in the Inland Empire region since a swarm of quakes and near Brawley, south of the Salton Sea in Imperial County.

Yorba Linda is about 40 miles southwest of Loma Linda. Brawley is about 130 miles southeast of Redlands.
