A Banning man was fatally injured Wednesday in a three-vehicle crash on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino, the coroner reported.
The crash was reported at 5:07 p.m. Aug. 1 on Interstate 210 west of Del Rosa Avenue, according to the coroner.
When California Highway Patrol officers arrived they found three eastbound vehicles involved in a traffic collision, a coroner's statement said.
"During the collision, Gregory Kirwin, a 48 year-old resident of Banning, the driver of a red 2004 Ford Focus suffered major injuries and was declared dead on the scene by emergency medical personnel," the coroner reported.
Drivers of the other two vehicles, from Yucaipa and Beaumont, were not seriously injured, according to the CHP.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating. The 210, formerly known as the 330, terminates in Redlands.
