Christmas Craftathon: 'Fun for All Ages' this Sunday at Moose Lodge in Mentone

Anyone who is unsure of what to give for Christmas this year and anyone who is on a tight budget may find solutions this Sunday at the Christmas Craftathon in Mentone.

It's also billed as "Fun for All Ages" so people can expect a good time too.

Organized by local artisans and supporters of Cub Scout Pack 14, the event is scheduled 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Moose Lodge on Mentone Boulevard.

Children and adults will learn to make gifts at rotating craft stations, according to organizers. The cost is $5 per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

"Wear clothes you do not mind getting paint and glue on, it might get messy," an event flier advises. "Allow yourself time to complete each station. Volunteers will be on-site to assist."

"We need volunteers for Sunday to help with the crafts, our volunteers always have fun," says organizer Lisa Marie Ruiz.

Santa is expected to make an appearance, and there will be hot dogs, nachos, baked goods and more for sale. The event is sponsored by the Moose Lodge and the Mission Company of Redlands.
