Citrus Valley Earns State Berth
The Blackhawks will continue playing after winning the school's first-ever Southern Section team title.
A day after winning their school's first-ever CIF-Southern Section team title, the girls soccer team found out they'll keep playing -- for at least one more game.
The Blackhawks, in Mission Viejo, were chosen to play in the CIF State Championships, which aims to crown a champion from Southern California.
Citrus Valley was seeded seventh in the eight-team Division 2 bracket, and will travel to take on San Diego Cathedral Catholic in Tuesday's first round. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

The Southern California championship will be decided at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Downey Warren High School.
The tournament features the top teams from the Southern, Central, San Diego and Los Angeles City sections of CIF.
