Being Deliberate: Education and Planning Workshop for Teens and Parents

This single free 2-hour workshop is being held on September 22nd from 1-3pm in the A.K. Smiley Library Assembly Room. Learning Objective: This informational and motivational workshop encourages students to be deliberate in all areas of their life as a way of creating their own career education curriculum in order to increase their exposure as a way of expanding their options and choices in life.


Presenter Bio: Jamie Beck is a former Career Counselor for the California State University system and has a Master’s Degree in Human Services with an emphasis in Social Systems and a concentration in Family and Work.  She has worked for the Califronia Departement of Education and First 5 programs in the public and nonprofit sector.


Parent Attendance is highly encouraged.  No registration is required, but plan to arrive early as seating is limited. This workshop is provided by the Friends of the AK Smiley Library and light refreshments will be served.
