Field Trip: Birds of Dos Palmas Oasis

Oct. 20 Birds of Dos Palmas Oasis

The Dos Palmas Preserve near the northeast margin of the Salton Sea includes a rich mosaic of desert habitats and important wetlands. We’ll search for migrant birds here and at the north end of the Salton Sea. $60/person ($70 non-member) includes transportation, morning coffee, lunch, water, and light snacks. Some walking on gravel and sand. Register by Oct. 15. Depart 6am.

• Wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes, dress in layers, and bring a hat and sunscreen.
• Check in 1/2 hour before departure.
All trips have limited space and pre-paid reservations are required.
