Gilbert will present a talk titled, “Freedom from the Past, on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1728 N. “E” Street, San Bernardino, CA.

“It requires something more than human will to bring about needed change and silence a deep discontent with our lives,” says Gilbert.  “This lecture will explore how understanding our spiritual nature encourages and empowers us to assert our God-given dominion over the impressions of the past and the negative behavior often attached to it.”

Gilbert’s ideas are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as discussed in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Practitioner and teacher of Christian Science healing, Rob Gilbert, has a Master of Theology degree from Boston University School of Theology, where he majored in Biblical Studies. While serving as a chaplain in the United States Army, he had a variety of assignments including military prisons, hospitals, and a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He has worked closely with clergy from a variety of faith backgrounds while in the military ministry. Rob retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Gilbert is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.  He travels from his home in Upland, California, USA.
