Loma Linda Academy Senior Sophia Kwon has been honored for her exemplary volunteer service with a President’s Volunteer Service Award.
The award was presented by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of President Barack Obama.
Kwon earned her award by volunteering for various children’s ministries, elderly assistance services, church leadership activities, music ministries, and peer-to-peer counseling. She also helped raise money and awareness for financially-needy children among other projects.
