Loma Linda Academy Touts Lecture on Biblical Creation, Challenge to Evolution

Prof. Andy C. McIntosh of the University of Leeds 'gave a well-reasoned, convincing account of Biblical creation to Loma Linda Academy students,' school officials said.

Officials at the Seventh-day Adventist Loma Linda Academy are touting a lecture by a scientist from Leeds, England, who spoke Tuesday about Biblical creation and "challenged the paradigm of evolution."

According to the school's website, Prof. Andy C. McIntosh of the University of Leeds "gave a well-reasoned, convincing account of Biblical creation to Loma Linda Academy students in the LLA Heritage Room on March 12, 2013."

McIntosh lectured on the aerodynamics of flight, the laws of thermodynamics, the fossil record and he challenged the paradigm of evolution, according to Loma Linda Academy officials.

In addition to lecturing at Loma Linda Academy, McIntosh spoke at Loma Linda University and the Loma Linda University Church, school officials said.

McIntosh, has earned multiple doctorates and degrees, and he is billed as "Professor of Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory, Energy and Technology Initiative, in the School of Process, Environmental and Materials Engineering at the University of Leeds, England," Loma Linda Academy officials said.

"He is a Bible-adhering Christian who lectures internationally in universities to teachers and students in the sciences, and in churches, on the relationship of creation with modern science," school officials said.

Loma Linda Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist college preparatory school, established in 1906. Total enrollment for 2011 school year began with 1,318 students - 626 at the elementary, 228 at the junior high and 464 at the high school, according to school officials.
