Amber Ann Muschwitz, 18, of Redlands died on September 12, 2012 after being fatally struck by a vehicle while walking home.
She was born to Lucinda Lasley and Michael Muschwitz in San Bernardino, CA on November 4, 1993. Amber attended Victoria Elementary School, Lugonia Elementary School, Clement Middle School, Medical Lake Middle School, Medical Lake High School, and Citrus Valley High School. She graduated from Citrus Valley High School June 7, 2012.
Amber completed the EMQ FamiliesFirst Wraparound Services in San Bernardino, CA in June 2012. This program was a key step in changing Amber’s life. Winnie, Nancy, Irene, Cory, and all of the people at Wraparound helped Amber through her journey and impacted her life in many ways.
In July Amber took a trip to Hawaii to spend time with her Great Aunt Jo. Amber fell in love with Hawaii and gained a new outlook on life. She became centered with herself through the serenity Hawaii offered and planned a return to attend college and start a career.
Amber said on August 17, "I take time out of my day, EVERYDAY, to appreciate the beauty the world has to offer. You should too ♥."
She is survived by her mother and step-father: Lucinda and Brian Lasley, her father and step-mother: Michael Muschwitz and Lesley Fisher; grandparents: Isabel Cottrill and Leonard Knable; brothers: Danny Muschwitz, Nick Schmehl, Jared Whitmarsh; sisters: Christina Muschwitz, Crystal Muschwitz, Holly Schmehl, and Misty Muschwitz; aunt: Mary Williams; uncle: Brady Cottrill; niece: Samantha Muschwitz; nephews: Brandon, Austin, and Owen Muschwitz; great aunt: Jo-Ellen Murphy and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her boyfriend Toby Becker.
Funeral services will be held at Hollywood Forever Chapel 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90038 on September 18, 2012 at 5pm.
