Pomp and Circumstance for Colton High grads

Windy day doesn't deter friends and family from celebrating the Class of 2011.

A standing room only crowd gathered at Colton High School to celebrate the school's Class of 2011.

The stands at Colton Memorial Stadium were full an hour before about 540 students marched from the gymnasium, across a red carpet to the middle of the football field to be honored for their achievements.

It was a successful couple of years for the school. Last spring, the school was named a national AVID program demonstration school, and this year, the school district was honored as an Advanced Placement District of the Year.
