Redlands Music Boosters Seeking Donations for Choral Group Trip
The high school's Les Chanteuses singers need to raise about $7,000 by Friday to cover expenses as part of a competition.
The Redlands High School Chamber Singers are in New York this weekend performing in the Heritage Festival Competition at the Riverside Cathedral.
If the school's other vocal music group hopes to compete later this year in San Antonio, the groups' boosters need to raise $7,000 by Friday.
Typically, the Redlands High School Vocal Music Boosters has been able to raise the money to cover the costs for the annual trips for the two choral groups. But this year, they've fallen short.

"Many of our students and parent volunteers have worked tirelessly to compensate for the new state regulations on fundraising enforced this year," said Marcia Murray by email. "(The boosters have been) collecting donations and participating in fundraising activities such as our Pancake Breakfast, selling SCRIP, Goodwill collection, business ads in our Choir festival programs, and donating services and products for our fundraiser auctions."
The boosters have until Friday to raise the money, otherwise the second group, known as Les Chanteuses, will have to cancel the trip and forfeit deposits.

Donors will be recognized in the spring concert program, and all donations to the booster club are tax deductible.
