Retiring RUSD teachers to be honored Tuesday
The employees will be celebrated during the Board of Education meeting.
Retiring Redlands Unified School District employees will be honored during one of the last Board of Education meetings of the school year.
The 2010-11 school year is winding down, with the final day for students at schools with traditional calendars June 2. After this Tuesday night’s meeting, there are only two more scheduled.
The Board will also recognize the student representatives from the high schools in Redlands who regularly attend meetings to give updates on their respective campuses.

The California Retired Teachers’ Association, represented by retired teacher David Belk, will make a presentation to the district for Mission Elementary School’s library. The Board of Education will also hear from Bobbi Cummings on the Citizens’ Oversight Committee annual reports, on Measure R and Measure J.
When Measures R and J were passed, the Board appointed independent Citizens’ Oversight Committees to oversee the expenditure of the bonds and give updates to the public. This is done on an annual basis.
