Stater Bros. Reps Give Check to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital

A ceremony was held Thursday Oct. 25 at the Pediatric Specialty Team Center at 2195 Club Center Drive, Suite G, San Bernardino.

Stater Bros. Charities representatives presented a check for $150,000 to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital last week at the Pediatric Specialty Team Center in south San Bernardino.

The funds were raised in part during the 11th Annual Stater Bros. Charities K-Froggers for Kids Radiothon, which took place on Sept. 5 and 6, a hospital spokeswoman said.

"Stater Bros. Charities continues to offer incredible support to Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, which ultimately allows us to continue to help the kids in our community," Randy Possinger, LLUCH's assistant vice president of philanthropy said during the check presentation. "We can not thank them enough for their ongoing support.

Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is billed as the only dedicated pediatric hospital in San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo and Mono counties.

The hospital has 277 beds for children and one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units in the country, according to LLUCH officials. LLUCH is a major pediatric teaching facility for Loma Linda University and is part of the Loma Linda University health care system, which includes Loma Linda University Medical Center, East Campus, Behavioral Medicine Center, Heart & Surgical Hospital and LLUMC-Murrieta.
