Early Goals Sink Redlands in Soccer
The Terriers give up three first-half goals, and are not able to rally against Dana Hills.
Visiting Dana Hills scored twice in the first 11 minutes, once on a penalty kick, and used a strong, organized game to beat Redlands 4-1 Wednesday in the second round of the Division 1 girls soccer CIF-Southern Section Ford Championships.
The Dolphins opened a 3-0 lead by halftime, and then played a counter attack offense in the second half, opening a 4-0 lead before the Terriers closed the scoring in about the 72nd minute.
Across town, the news was better for Citrus Valley in the Division 7 second round. The fourth-seeded Blackhawks rolled over Arroyo 8-1 to advance to Friday's quarterfinal game at El Segundo Vistamar, a 1-0 winner of Saddleback Valley Christian on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m.

In Wednesday's girls water polo action, both local teams saw their season end to the top-seeded teams in their division.
In Division 5, Redlands East Valley was eliminated by Bonita 10-9 in sudden death overtime. In Division 7, Citrus Valley lost to Santa Ana Valley, 12-9.
