Redlands Adventist Boys, Girls Basketball Teams in CIF State Playoffs

Both of the Bulldogs' basketball teams were awarded berths in the CIF State Playoffs, which begin Tuesday.

Hit the snooze button because the dream season that both Redlands Adventist Academy basketball teams are having has been prolonged with berths in the CIF Division 5 State Tournament.

The Bulldogs boys team, which won its first CIF-Southern Section Division 6A basketball title Saturday, will host St. Bernard High from Playa del Rey on Tuesday.

The CIF Southern California Regional finals are scheduled for Saturday, March 12 at Colony High in Ontario. The state finals, which will be held at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, are scheduled for Saturday, March 25.

St. Bernard (22-8), the champions from the Camino Real League, lost in the 5A semifinals.

In the girls tournament, the Bulldogs (20-6) travel to Visalia to face Central Valley Christian (23-2) at 6 p.m. RAA is the CIF-SS 6A runners-up, advancing to the state tournament for the first time
