Redlands High Girls Soccer In CIF Playoffs
The Terriers travel to Mater Dei in a CIF Division 1 first-round game.
The Redlands High School girls soccer team will begin the CIF Division 1 playoffs on the road Thursday. The Terriers, the No. 2 team from the Citrus Belt League, play at Santa Ana Mater Dei at 3 PM. Mater Dei is the No. 2 entry from the Trinity League.
The winner of Thursday’s game will most likely face Century League champion Esperanza, the No. 2 seed in Division 1, in the second round on Feb. 22. South Coast League champion San Clemente is seeded No. 1 in the tournament.
Citrus Belt League champion Yucaipa is home to Laguna Hills in the first round Thursday while third-place Redlands East Valley is on the road against Dana Point Dana Hills.
The division’s championship game will be held March 4 or 5.
