Redlands High On The Road In CIF Girls Water Polo Playoffs

The Terriers travel to Los Altos High for their first-round match.

Citrus Belt League runners-up Redlands High will travel to Hacienda Heights Los Altos Wednesday in the first round of the CIF Division 5 Girls Water Polo tournament, the CIF announced Sunday.

If the Terriers win, they will likely face No. 2 seed Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon High, the Sunbelt League champion and a strong contender for the Division 5 title.

Redlands East Valley, the No. 1 seed in the division, hosts Burbank Wednesday.

The CIF Girls Water Polo playoffs begin Tuesday with wild-card games. First round games in Division 5 are Wednesday at 5 p.m.  Winners advance to the second round on Friday. The CIF Finals are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Aquatics Center in Irvine.

The top four seeds in the division are Redlands East Valley, Temescal Canyon, Crescenta Valley and Bonita.
