PHOTOS: Roadrunners Have Successful End to Tournament

Loma Linda Academy finishes its own season-ending flag football event with a boys championship, and a third-place finish for the girls.

Loma Linda Academy's season-ending flag football tournament came to an end Sunday with the home team lifting the championship trophy in one division.

The boys team used a stingy defense, including a momentum swinging safety early in the second half, to defeat Bakersfield Adventist Academy 16-7 in the championship game.

Meanwhile, the girls team's chance at a perfect season was derailed by a last-second defeat late Saturday night at the Drayson Center. They bounce back to win Sunday's third place game, defeating Newbury Park Academy.
