Fire Destroys Unoccupied Mobile Home on Live Oak Canyon Road in Redlands

The fire was reported at 3:40 a.m. in the 29800 block of Live Oak Canyon Road, less than a mile east of the junction with San Timoteo Canyon Road, according to a Redlands Fire Department spokesman.

Fire destroyed an unoccupied mobile home early Friday on Live Oak Canyon Road in rural south Redlands, fire officials in San Bernardino and Riverside counties said.

The fire was reported at 3:40 a.m. in the 29800 block of Live Oak Canyon Road, less than a mile east of the junction with San Timoteo Canyon Road, according to a Redlands Fire Department spokesman.

"Upon arrival, units found a single-wide mobile home completely engulfed in flames," Redlands spokesman Carl Baker said in a statement. "It took firefighters one hour to extinguish the fire. The structure was a complete loss. Damages are estimated at $50,000."

No injuries were reported. Eight engines and 24 firefighters from Redlands, Yucaipa, Calimesa and Moreno Valley responded, according to Baker and a Cal Fire-Riverside County spokeswoman.

The rural location is in Redlands just north of the Riverside County line and Redlands Fire personnel are investigating.
