A flash flood watch was issued for Saturday afternoon and evening for an area including the mountains north of Redlands and Loma Linda.

Visitors enjoyed clear weather before noon Aug. 18 on Big Bear Lake and elsewhere in the San Bernardino National Forest.

Big Bear Lake is a man-made reservoir in the San Bernardino Mountains with surface elevation about 6,750 feet above sea level, about a 100-mile drive from downtown Los Angeles.
