'First Flight' Gallery: Redlands Citrus Valley's First-Ever Graduating Class

Blackhawks graduates showed pride, poise and confidence Thursday as they became their school's first students to complete secondary education at Citrus Valley High.

More than 400 students from Redlands, Highland, Mentone and San Bernardino became the first-ever graduates of Citrus Valley High on Thursday night at Redlands Bowl.

"First Flight" was a theme of the evening as pioneer Blackhawks graduates, their friends and loved ones packed the bowl to witness local history in the making.

"I feel great," Christian Andres Cervantes, 17, of Redlands, said as he stood in line outside the bowl about two hours before ceremonies began. "All this work we've done. It is just a celebration of that."
