Senior Piano Recital Sunday July 14: Redlands United Church of Christ

The following was submitted to Redlands-Loma Linda Patch:

Carlisle Dianne Momberger, 18, of Redlands, will give a senior recital on piano at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14 at the Redlands United Church of Christ, at 168 Bellevue Ave.

The performance will be free and open to the public.

She will perform Fantasy in D Minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Etude in E Major and Minute Waltz by Frédéric François Chopin; Prelude in C Sharp Minor by Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff; Menuet and Clair de Lune, both from Suite bergamasque by Claude Debussy; The Cat and the Mouse by Aaron Copland; and The Ballad of Sweeney Todd by Stephen Joshua Sondheim, arranged by Momberger, performed as a duet with special guest Tyler Chung of Redlands.

A reception with refreshments will follow the recital.

Momberger has studied piano for 15 years, primarily with Erika Scheidel Ramos in Redlands.

In addition to piano, she plays flute and handbells, and sings soprano.

She also casually plays accordion and electric bass, and composes choral music.

She graduated from Redlands East Valley High School in June, and will attend Case Western Reserve University in the fall, where she will study chemistry and music therapy.
