Two-Day Pet Adoption Event This Weekend at Soccer Complex in Yucaipa

The 'Homeward Bound Mega Pet Adoption Event' is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17, a spokeswoman for the event said.

A two-day pet adoption event is scheduled this weekend at the Jerry Lewis Soccer Complex in Yucaipa.

The "Homeward Bound Mega Pet Adoption Event" is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday June 16 and Sunday June 17, a spokeswoman for the event said Wednesday.

"Hundreds of adoptable pets, low-cost vaccinations, micro chipping, and lots of family fun will be available," according to organizers.

The goal for more than 15 animal rescue organizations and animal shelter facilities taking part in the event is to "place 250 homeless pets in new loving and caring homes," organizers said.

The event will feature face-painting, a slide, entertainment and give-aways from KFRG 95.1 FM, as well as:

  • Free admission
  • Free health screenings for adopted pets
  • Rabies Vaccinations - $6
  • Combination Vaccinations - $10
  • Micro-chipping - $20

The event is sponsored by the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley, the Yucaipa Animal Placement Society, Animals aRe First Fund, San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control, and the San Bernardino County Regional Parks Department.

Jerry Lewis Soccer Complex is adjacent to Yucaipa Regional Park at 33900 Oak Glen Road.
