Woman Injured at YMCA on East Citrus Ave: Redlands Fire + AMR Respond

Firefighters with Engine-Medic Squad 261 and AMR Redlands Division responded just before 5 p.m. Monday to the YMCA at 500 East Citrus Avenue in Redlands.

A woman was injured Monday in the gym at the YMCA on East Citrus Avenue and Redlands firefighters and AMR paramedics responded.

The rescue workers arrived just before 5 p.m. Monday to the family-oriented facility at 500 East Citrus Avenue in Redlands. They put the woman on a wheeled stretcher and took her to a waiting ambulance while she held a towel to her face.

People outside said the woman fell on a treadmill and broke her nose. YMCA personnel inside, including a member of the desk staff, the aquatics director, and the human resources director, declined to comment.

The Redlands Family YMCA on East Citrus has a gym and a 22,000-square-foot aquatics center that includes a teaching pool, lap pool and outdoor pool, according to the facility's website.

The lap pool opened Sunday and the teaching and outdoor pools opened Monday, according to the website schedule. For more information about the Redlands YMCA visit http://www.ymcaeastvalley.org/redlands.

Broken nose = Stretcher + 3 Paramedics + Ambulance. Will Larry Parker or John Edwards be taking this one?

So five people to respond to a broken nose emergency call? How much did that cost the citizens? When my daughter had to be taken by ambulance in LA from LACMA to Cedar Sinai only 2 paramedics in an ambulance no additional fire truck. Does Redlands bill more for emergency calls than LA since 5 people respond in Redlands compared to 2 people in LA?
