Baseball is Back in Loma Linda

Loma Linda Little League begins play Monday night with a game between its two Major Division teams.

The pings of bats and cheers of parents could be heard at Loma Linda Baseball Park on Monday night, as the first games of the season were played for Loma Linda Little League.

Almost two weeks before Opening Ceremonies.

The timing of Easter breaks forced the league to push back its official ceremony back to April 15, but the league's two Major Division teams kicked off their season at the park Monday. The Diamondbacks defeated the Dodgers 10-0, in a game shortened by the run rule.

Because of Loma Linda Little League's low enrollment, its teams play interleague games against neighboring leagues, including Bloomington, Colton's Ken Hubbs and Grand Terrace.

And while we can't be at every game, we hope that parents will take advantage of Loma Linda Patch and post announcements about your team and their games. Or you can post photos in our Community Photo Gallery.
