Young baseball players from Loma Linda took on a strong team from Bloomington on Monday in a Little League District 21 tournament in Colton.
Coaches and parents from both teams were vocal and positive in support of the Loma Linda All Stars and the Bloomington All Stars, ages 9 and 10.
The seven-day tournament was under way Monday at Ken Hubbs Memorial Little League field in Colton.
Teams from Rialto and Grand Terrace were also taking part in the tournament.
The Loma Linda All Stars played hard but the game was called after the fourth inning with Bloomington leading 28-0.
The bright side is "the loser gets to go to the beach and go camping," Kenny Boyd, Loma Linda Little League president, said before the game started.
