Park Becomes Winter Wonderland

Santa Claus, sleigh rides and snow highlight a celebration for members of PossAbilities and past and current patients at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital.

If only for one afternoon, Loma Linda was a winter wonderland.

The park area behind the Loma Linda University Medical Center's East Campus was transformed into a holiday season showcase for past and current patients from the Children's Hospital and members of PossAbilities as part of the “Winter Wonderland Christmas Celebration.”

Santa Claus was there, taking pictures with the children, who held on tightly to their gifts. Mrs. Claus took families on rides on a horse-drawn sleigh around the parking lot.

And best of all was the snow.

The snow covered a patch of the park, giving children and adults to make snow angels, build small snowmen and have snowball fights.

And after all the fun, participants snacked on pizza and cookies and were entertained by a bell choir.

The winter wonderland was sponsored by Total Transportation Logistics; Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital; and San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.
