Redlands Believe Walk Teams Are Forming

The sixth annual Believe Walk is scheduled for Oct. 6. But teams for the walk are already taking shape.

The Oct. 6 start date for the sixth annual Redlands Believe Walk, presented by State Bros. is fast approaching.

A number of teams have already formed. Among them is the University of Redlands, which is inviting members of the community to be a part of their team. Check out their website for details.

The event is a fundraiser for cancer research in the spirit of the Relay for Life’s. All proceeds go back to local cancer research and treatment facilities including Loma Linda University and Redlands Community Hospital. A list of those facilities that benefit are listed on the event’s website.

Some 10,000 participants, including a number of cancer survivors participated in last year’s event. That event raised $500,000, organizers said.

“You’ll be a part of the largest effort in the Inland Empire communities to create a community rich in resources for cancer patients and their families,” organizers wrote on their website. “Whether you walk with us, raise funds or both, you are making a difference in the fight against cancer.”
