Redlands Radio Station on Blood Drive
KOLA 99.9 FM will broadcast live from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 29 at LifeStream's San Bernardino Donor Center, 384 W. Orange Show Road.
A Redlands-based radio station is partnering with a local blood bank to recruit donors on Wednesday Aug. 29.
The nonprofit LifeStream and KOLA 99.9 FM will stage the drive at LifeStream’s San Bernardino Donor Center, 384 W. Orange Show Road.
"Whole-blood donors at all LifeStream donor centers and most community drives receive, while supplies last, a free movie ticket and a Baker's gift card good for a double Baker, large order of French fries, and a 32-oz. drink," Don Escalante of LifeStream said in a news release.

Donors who make appointments to undergo apheresis - an automated procedure in which one or more components of blood are collected - receive the Baker's gift card and two free movie tickets, Escalante said.

LifeStream is a private, not-for-profit blood bank with donor centers in San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario and Victorville. It also holds blood drives at local businesses, churches, government agencies and schools.
Lifestream was founded in 1951 and it serves more than 80 hospitals throughout Southern California. According to Lifestream, more than 500 donations of lifesaving blood are needed each day to meet emergency and ongoing patient needs in Southern California.
