Stater Bros. Presdient Gets Honorary Hospital Title

Jack Brown is named a part of the Children's Hospital Foundation board.

Jack H. Brown, the CEO of Stater Bros. Supermarkets, was named an honorary board member of the Loma Linda University Children's Hospital Foundation on Wednesday.

“It is with great honor and excitement that I welcome Mr. Jack Brown, Chairman and CEO of Stater Bros., to the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation Board,” said LLUCH Administrator Zareh Sarrafian said in a news release. “Mr. Brown has been an advocate for children’s causes throughout the Inland Empire for many years as well as a tremendous supporter and friend to Children’s Hospital. His acceptance to serve as honorary board member is a tremendous affirmation of his commitment to ensuring a healthier future for the patients and families of our community. We are blessed and privileged that he has accepted this appointment and greatly appreciate his willingness to serve in this capacity.”

Brown has ben a part of Stater Bros. for more than 30 years. During that time, he has raised almost $3 million for Loma Linda University Medical Center, and more than $2 million for the children's hospital. The Stater Bros. Activity Center was opened in 2007 in part thanks to a gift from the supermarket chain.

“I am honored to join the ranks of Honorary Board of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation and to continue to have the privilege of helping children in need,” Brown said in the statement.

Brown joins Jerry Lewis and Dr. William Loveless as honorary board members.
