<p>The Loma Linda University Medical Center is a Seventh-day Adventist non-profit hospital located in San Bernardino County. The Center is a teaching hospital on the campus of Loma Linda University with a residency program certified by the AMA.  The hospital has nearly 900 beds for adult, pediatric, coronary and intensive care patients, as short-term and acute-care are a main focus.  Cardiatric, critical care, gastrointestinal, general surgery, orthopedic, pulmonary and vascular services are all provided. </p>
<p>Loma Linda, which opened in 1967,  stands 11 stories tall.  It admits more than 33 thousand patients and services about one-half of a million outpatients each year.  An adjoining children's hospital opened in 1993. Notably, the hospital is the only level one regional trauma center for Inyo, Mono, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.</p>
