Night Closures on 60 Freeway in Mo Val: Expect Detours Friday, Saturday, Early Sunday

There will be night closures on the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley Friday, Saturday and early Sunday, and motorists from Redlands and Loma Linda can expect detours to get around a work site at Nason Street, city officials said.

The closures are necessary for demolition and removal of the old Nason overpass, according to city contract engineers. A new Nason Street bridge spanning the freeway is already in place.

The eastbound 60 at Nason will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday May 31 to 6 a.m. Saturday June 1, and the westbound 60 will remain open, according to city officials. A map of the May 31 detour is attached to this report.

The reverse is planned Saturday night through Sunday morning.

The westbound 60 will be closed at Nason from 11 p.m. Saturday June 1 to 7 a.m. Sunday June 2, and the eastbound 60 will remain open, according to city officials.

Weather and other factors could mean changes in the schedule.
