Dorner Shootout Dispatch Records Released: 'Deps Still Down in Kill Zone'

Beginning at 12:22 p.m. that day, the transcripts cover the initial 9-1-1 call, manhunt, wounded deputies, and burning of the cabin where rogue ex-LAPD cop Chris Dorner holed up, and authorities said he killed himself.

Thirty pages of Sheriff's Department dispatch transcripts from the Feb. 12 pursuit, shootout and death of rogue ex-LAPD cop Christopher Dorner near Big Bear Lake were released Friday by San Bernardino County lawyers.

The transcripts were released April 19 in response to a public records request by Redlands-Loma Linda Patch and other news agencies. County lawyers said they intend to release audio dispatch files requested by news agencies at a later date.

Beginning at 12:22 p.m. that day, the transcripts refer to a residential robbery near Amador Trail and Goldmine Drive in Big Bear Lake. They continue through the afternoon in which sheriff's Detective Jeremiah MacKay was fatally shot and Deputy Alex Collins was seriously wounded.
